Wallace H. Lewis, age 90 of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 surrounded by loved ones.
Mr. Lewis was born in White County the son of the late Steve and Neila Skelton Lewis. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Lewis. Mr. Lewis was a carpenter, farmer and former Supervisor at Ames Textile. He was a faithful lifelong member of White Creek Baptist Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Nell Winkler Lewis, Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Vivian Lewis and Robert Maney, Cleveland; daughter, Frances Haas, New Hampsire; step son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Judy Richardson, Cleveland; step son, Dennis Richardson, Cleveland; sisters, Gaynell Pittman, Butler; Betty Jean Meaders, Cleveland; grandchildren, Crystal and Leon Havenga, Hannah and Baron Mullis, Amy and Matthew Richardson; 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday September 20, 2016 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Lewis Fortner and the Rev. Henry Loggins will officiate. Interment will be at White Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday at the funeral home.
